Policies on Team Work and Academic Integrity

Toronto Metropolitan University University

Team work

The assignment and most of the labs in this course are done in teams of 1 or 2 students. For these assignments, a team may elect to increase the team size by one more person for a 20% penalty: these assessments can be done in in teams of 3 people, but each member of the team will only receive 80% of the earned grade for that assignment.

To qualify for this 20% penalty a team must declare its size in writing when the work is submitted and not afterwards. In Crowdmark, this is done by adding a third member to the Crowdmark team. In Moons/D2L, this is done by listing the third member in the D2L text submission.

Academic Integrity

It is expected that all individual work submitted for evaluation in this course will be original and that each team will produce their own original work.

More details on Academic Integrity and Academic Miscondict can be found on the web site of the Academic Integrity Office of Toronto Metropolitan University
